Horse Show Candle

I was in my first horse show at the age of 6, at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, on a Peruvian mare named Cabriolla. I followed the announcers directions and basically sat atop the mare while she did all the work. When my name was announced for 4th place of about 10 junior riders, I rode to get my ribbon, not quite sure what had just happened or if that was good. I exited the arena with a very proud mom at the in gate and I said, “Look mom, I got an orange one!” because the ribbon was cream and orange. I’m pretty sure I still have that ribbon tucked away somewhere in a ribbon box. Now I have been to countless shows over all the years and now as I am an adult (on the outside) I love celebrating a good ride or a terrible ride with a margarita.

This candle is a spin on a margarita. Cause we all know that whether you have a good ride or a bad ride, you need a margarita. It’s guava, tequila and sea salt. So it’s fruity and salty, just like my favorite cowgirls.

This candle is infused with natural essential oils, including lemongrass, petitgrain, and clove leaf.

All candles are hand poured in to rustic amber jars with a brass lid in our studio in Sullivan, WI. The amber jars are reminiscent of saddle leather with the lids to emulate the brass hardware on bridles.
